Dean of Health Professions Division

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for the nursing program and other health professions.
• Drive vision and strategic direction for undergraduate nursing and healthcare programs within a liberal arts context.
• Lead curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement to ensure student success.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff within the Division.
• Ensure compliance with state board of nursing requirements and professional accreditation standards.
• Manage accreditation self-studies and required reporting in collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness.
• Monitor licensure outcomes, such as NCLEX-RN pass rates, and implement improvement strategies.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare systems and clinical sites to expand placement opportunities.
• Collaborate with admissions and student success teams to support recruitment, retention, and graduation rates.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field (PhD, DNP, or equivalent).
• Current unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in the state.
• 5-7 years of administrative experience in higher education.
• Experience with online and hybrid delivery formats.
• Proven experience leading accreditation processes (e.g., CCNE or ACEN).
• Demonstrated experience in program development or expansion.
• Evidence of teaching and scholarly or professional attainment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
