About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for the nursing program and other health professions.
- Drive vision and strategic direction for undergraduate and healthcare programs within a liberal arts context.
- Lead curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement to ensure academic excellence.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff within the division.
- Ensure compliance with state board of nursing requirements and professional accreditation standards (CCNE or ACEN).
- Monitor licensure outcomes, such as NCLEX-RN pass rates, and implement improvement strategies.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare systems and clinical sites to expand placement opportunities.
- Collaborate with admissions and student success teams to support recruitment, retention, and graduation rates.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field (PhD, DNP, or equivalent).
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in the state.
- 5-7 years of administrative experience in higher education.
- Experience with online and hybrid delivery formats.
- Proven experience leading accreditation processes (e.g., CCNE or ACEN).
- Experience with program development or expansion (e.g., BSN, MSN, or DNP programs).
- Demonstrated success in building healthcare partnerships and clinical placement networks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
