Dean of Curriculum & Instruction

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep analysis of data to lead effective analysis meetings based on student work samples
• Build and implement action plans, materials, and systems to address data
• Monitor grade-level or content-area progress against assessment cycle benchmarks
• Facilitate assessment cycles including quality assurance and scheduling
• Conduct daily observations and provide real-time feedback to teachers
• Plan and deliver high-quality professional development
• Collaborate with the Principal to coach and identify goals for Instructional Leaders
• Oversee school-specific data response curriculum
• Lead and manage school-wide academic systems like office hours and grade books
• Support network or regional instructional initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of teaching experience with evidence of student growth
• Demonstrated instructional coaching capabilities
• Strong content knowledge across multiple gradespans or content areas
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to plan and lead effective teacher professional development
• Strong people management and systems-based thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
