About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively research and reach out to target business owners via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, SMS, and other channels to generate off-market deal flow
- Lead early conversations with business owners to explain the company's value proposition
- Conduct initial discovery meetings to gather baseline information and evaluate fit
- Maintain and update CRM with all outreach activity and prospect information
- Work closely with the Investments team to hand off qualified opportunities
- Consistently follow up with prospects to build trust and maintain a healthy pipeline
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, or deal sourcing
- High-volume outbound cold calling experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRMs such as HubSpot
- Interest in private equity, investing, or M&A
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Exposure to small business operations
- Familiarity with basic financial statements including P&L and balance sheets
