DCEO Engineer, Data Center Engineering Operations

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment within the data center
• Supervise contractors performing maintenance or preventive operations
• Develop intervention plans for emergency repairs on critical assets
• Serve as a first-line responder for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, including chillers, pumps, and motors
• Perform rack power installations, PDU replacements, and rack ATS replacements
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and physical security policies
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system, documenting labor and parts used
• Analyze incident reports and formulate recommendations to management to drive continuous improvement
• Provide on-call support and participate in a rotation schedule based on operational needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Technology, or Electrotechnical Engineering
• Experience with critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, switchboards, HVAC, chilled water/cooling systems, pumps)
• Familiarity with 24/7/365 critical operational environments
• Intermediate level proficiency in English and/or French (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading)
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
• Professional experience in data centers, manufacturing, or the Oil & Gas sector
