DC Training Associate

Responsibilities

• Lead initial orientation and facilitate on-the-job training programs for new and existing warehouse associates
• Conduct one-on-one training regarding job-specific warehouse operations and WMS processes
• Manage Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training, including initial certification, recertification, and accident retraining
• Audit associate work to ensure adherence to training standards, safety requirements, and SOPs
• Track training status for all associates and ensure consistency across departments
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Support site management in complying with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation
• Meet regularly with Operations Managers to provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement
• Perform general warehouse duties to facilitate the flow of goods and ensure correct registration of inbound shipments

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments
• Ability to strictly follow safety protocols and HSE guidelines
• Physical capability to carry out warehouse tasks, including lifting and transporting heavy objects
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
