DC Team Member - Inbound

Responsibilities

• Unload freight trucks and count pieces, packages, or pallets
• Compare received items against vendor packing slips and transfer documents to ensure accuracy in size, color, and quantity
• Input received items into the computer system according to purchase orders or return notes
• Put away products into appropriate stock areas to facilitate order filling
• Check product dating to ensure proper stock rotation
• Communicate any discrepancies to appropriate departments such as Accounts Payable or Procurement

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and understand English to interpret product descriptions and labels
• Basic math skills to ensure accurate product quantities
• Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds regularly and 50-70 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete for the duration of a shift
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in a warehouse or production environment
