DC Manager: Inbound

Responsibilities

• Manage all inbound departments including Supplier Collects, Putaway, Receiving, Unloading, and Yard Control
• Implement improvement processes to minimize costs and maximize working capital
• Oversee warehousing functions, stock handling, and inventory record accuracy
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly planning for all inbound operations
• Lead and develop the operations team through coaching, appraisals, and disciplinary procedures
• Manage budgets, operational costs, and management reporting
• Coordinate with retail and marketplace buyers and sellers
• Optimize DC space, equipment, and flow for future requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics
• 8-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations
• 5 years of experience in operational project management
• 5+ years of experience managing people to deliver continuous improvement (Lean, 5S)
• Proven track record in distribution and warehousing environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, or night shifts during peak months

Preferred Qualifications

• E-commerce experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong financial acumen and experience with cost analysis
• Knowledge of Industrial Relations and Employee Relations practices
