DC Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including conveyors, forklifts, dock equipment, and machinery
• Maintain and service industrial batteries, including charging, watering, and changing
• Inspect and maintain safety systems such as fire suppression and sprinklers
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (up to 480VAC), plumbing, and building systems
• Support the installation of new equipment and facility improvements
• Conduct routine daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure clean, organized work areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience
• Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general building maintenance
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and facility systems
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 10–55 lbs and work in varying temperatures (25°F–105°F)
