About the role
Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and develop the Distribution Engineering team.
- Lead the development and maintenance of engineered standards through time and frequency studies to ensure Labor Management System accuracy.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability and minimize downtime.
- Manage capital budgets, forecasts, and the full lifecycle of capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Partner with MHE providers to design and install material handling equipment in existing and future facilities.
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with Procurement to manage contractor/vendor relationships, including bid specifications and pricing negotiations.
- Utilize system data to provide visibility to senior leadership and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of engineering, operations, or maintenance experience in distribution and product fulfillment.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
- Proficiency in analyzing large data sets using Excel, SQL, or BI tools.
- Experience using AutoCAD and the ability to read blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WMS (Manhattan).
- Experience with high-volume automated Goods-to-Person systems.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Experience working in a union environment or with 3PL partners.
