DBA Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the operational health of primary data stores, including PostgreSQL and analytical databases
• Assist with performance tuning, schema reviews, and database migrations
• Contribute to replication, high availability, and capacity planning efforts
• Support backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
• Help maintain observability and participate in incident response under senior guidance
• Collaborate with product, platform, risk, and data engineering teams on production tasks

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational database management systems
• Understanding of database operations, including backup, recovery, and replication
• Familiarity with concepts related to high availability and performance tuning
• Strong interest in database engineering and infrastructure reliability
• Ability to work in a high-stakes production environment with attention to detail
