About the Company

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-person tutoring company. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students, specializing in all subject areas for students aged four to twenty.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Manitoba curriculum
• Provide remedial and enrichment support for students

Requirements

• Energetic and enthusiastic teaching style
• Experience in tutoring or teaching
• Ability to tutor at-risk youth in a correctional facility
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Check, and Adult Abuse Check (within the last six months)

Preferred Qualifications

• Registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teacher's Society
• Teaching qualification in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Manitoba or in the United States
• Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education
• Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College
• More than 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth
• More than 1 year of tutoring experience
