About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and workflow supervision to Day Service Facilitators.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Implement and monitor person-centered plans to support individual goals and desired outcomes.
- Facilitate daily activities, community engagement, and personal development opportunities for members.
- Ensure the safety of members and staff by monitoring health and safety processes and providing crisis intervention when required.
- Manage member funds, program expenditures, and accurate documentation of activities and incidents.
- Provide transportation for members while adhering to all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Assist in the development of program agendas, special events, and spiritual care programs.
Requirements
- Community College diploma or degree in health services, social services, or equivalent experience in a community-based facility.
- At least two years of experience in developmental services.
- Valid Manitoba Class V driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Adult Abuse Registry check.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 40 pounds and performing manual or assisted transfers.
