About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and workflow supervision to Day Service Facilitators.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  • Implement and monitor person-centered plans to support individual goals and desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate daily activities, community engagement, and personal development opportunities for members.
  • Ensure the safety of members and staff by monitoring health and safety processes and providing crisis intervention when required.
  • Manage member funds, program expenditures, and accurate documentation of activities and incidents.
  • Provide transportation for members while adhering to all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Assist in the development of program agendas, special events, and spiritual care programs.

Requirements

  • Community College diploma or degree in health services, social services, or equivalent experience in a community-based facility.
  • At least two years of experience in developmental services.
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 40 pounds and performing manual or assisted transfers.
