Day Program Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Promote social inclusion and community engagement for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist individuals in obtaining self-esteem and confidence through planned activities
• Provide individualized support, including personal care and skill acquisition
• Assist with the development and implementation of Person Centered Planning goals
• Complete required documentation, including data collection and monthly progress notes
• Maintain compliance with all company and state required trainings
• Report any safety, health, or human rights concerns to the Supervisor immediately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle during scheduled hours
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical transfers if necessary
• Ability to walk, stand frequently, and climb stairs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the human services field or working with persons experiencing disabilities
