About the role
Responsibilities
- Align with key client initiatives and interface daily with Fortune 500 customers
- Design, manage, and deploy highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using Big Data
- Drive automation through industry-leading CI/CD, monitoring, and support practices
- Support TB-scale pipelines and perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Provide technical leadership, guide DevOps engineers, and assist in hiring technical talent
- Develop scripts to automate DevOps processes to reduce team effort
Requirements
- 8-12 years of relevant work experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Proven track record of building large-scale engineering products
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, or other scripting languages
- Experience managing Linux systems and build/release tools like Jenkins
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Support experience in the Big Data domain
- Experience architecting and maintaining Big Data solutions
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kerberos, Kafka)
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with configuration management systems
