About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7/365 onsite rotation coverage and incident response for datacenter facilities and equipment services.
- Monitor environmental controls, security, safety systems, power, and backup power systems.
- Perform facilities inspections and conduct monthly maintenance on generators.
- Support IT equipment lifecycle including receiving, shipping, cabling, installing, and replacing hardware.
- Manage inventory for over 2,000 devices and maintain accurate documentation.
- Run Cat5/Cat6 and fiber cabling and deploy servers to racks.
- Monitor alarms via WebControl and escalate issues as necessary.
- Develop power plans for new devices and create/manage tickets using Remedy.
- Ensure proper destruction of storage media during device removal.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in facilities and equipment.
- Familiarity with Web Control infrastructure monitoring software.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
- ITIL v4 foundation knowledge.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
