Databricks Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data management, transformation, and exposure pipelines on Databricks
• Manage AI pipelines and implement agentic solutions on Databricks
• Optimize performance, costs, and reliability
• Ensure data quality, security, and data governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, BI, IT, and Business
• Document technical solutions and contribute to platform best practices

Requirements

• STEM or Computer Science degree
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Proven experience with Databricks
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Delta Lake (ACID, schema evolution, time travel)
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling
• Experience in Cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS, or GCP)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development processes
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks Unity Catalog
• Management of ML/AI pipelines in Python
• Knowledge of Databricks Mosaic AI Framework
• Streaming data processing pipeline skills
• Integration with BI tools like Power BI
• CI/CD and DevOps for data platforms
• Databricks or Cloud Provider certifications
