Data/BI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as prime point of contact for team in design and technical decision
• Assist the product owner on solution, impact and other technical aspects
• Develop and maintain data products end-to-end
• Own, develop, and deploy data pipelines and data models feeding reporting tools and data marts
• Work with platform team on security and platform optimization
• Build and automate data quality checks for monitoring and validation
• Debug incidents, perform root cause analysis, and communicate solutions to stakeholders
• Utilize CI/CD with GitHub and Actions to optimize pipelines using AWS services
• Propose and test best practices to challenge existing working practices

Requirements

• Strong AWS experience (Glue, Redshift, and related services)
• Hands-on experience with Redshift schema design, query performance, and data modeling
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Proven experience developing, testing, and debugging production code
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, and GitHub Actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Apache Iceberg experience
• Microstrategy experience
