Database Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis
• Develop or maintain database structure to fit into the overall architecture of the system
• Create new workflows to take over existing processes and provide break/fix requests or updates
• Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software
• Support development and test of Python-based ReST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities using Django and Flask

Requirements

• TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• 5 years of experience as a Database Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 5 years of equivalent DBE experience
• Extensive experience using MongoDB, including deployment, management, debugging, and scaling

Preferred Qualifications

• Python, Django, or Flask
• ReST Endpoint Development and Micro-Service Model
• AWS, C2S, or other cloud experience
• Docker and Git version control
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of JSON/XML serialization, Swagger, Jira, and Confluence
