Database Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage, and retrieval
• Develop and maintain database structures to fit overall system architecture
• Create new workflows and provide break/fix requests or updates
• Lead development of database structures, parser software, and loading software
• Support development and testing of Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data model management using Django and Flask
• Interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance (most recent poly within last 6 years)
• 5-10 years of related technical experience with a bachelor's degree, or 10-15 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Extensive Database Engineering experience using MongoDB, including deployment, management, debugging, optimization, and scaling

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Django, or Flask
• Experience with REST Endpoint development and Micro-service models
• Knowledge of Swagger, AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms
• Experience with Docker and Git version control
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code, JSON/XML serialization, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience working in an Agile environment
