Responsibilities

• Optimize MS SQL Server queries including execution plans, indexing, and locking analysis
• Perform T-SQL to PL/pgSQL conversions
• Execute migrations using AWS SCT & AWS DMS
• Design and manage Aurora PostgreSQL environments
• Implement Multi-AZ, read replicas, and failover strategies
• Configure connection pooling using PgBouncer or RDS Proxy
• Develop ETL processes and perform data validation
• Implement backup and point-in-time recovery strategies
• Ensure performance benchmarking post-migration

Requirements

• 5–10+ years in database engineering
• Proven experience in large-scale DB migration projects
• Deep architecture knowledge of MS SQL Server 2016
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL / Aurora PostgreSQL
• Expertise in query optimization and index tuning
• Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Experience with AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)
• Strong understanding of transaction management and locking analysis
• Knowledge of High Availability architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Batch
• Knowledge of data streaming and real-time processing
