Database Architect

Responsibilities

• Define, integrate, and upgrade comprehensive migration strategies to support applications and databases
• Perform detailed assessments of current database systems to determine structural requirements
• Develop migration solutions and roadmap including estimated timelines
• Ensure security of all information, computer systems, and digital data
• Ensure adherence to government regulations and guidelines for data safeguarding
• Determine platform architecture, technology, and tools
• Develop analytical models and complete validation tests to support high availability web applications
• Track emerging technologies to improve architecture and business alignment
• Communicate technology needs and strategy to the executive team

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a data architect or in a data management role
• Extensive experience with data migration from MS Access to SQL using Microsoft SSMA
• Certified Data Architect
• Experience with software network design and implementation
• Strong understanding of data analysis, business principles, and operations
• Proficiency in software architecture and design
• Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
