Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions
• Develop and maintain database architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts
• Lead initiatives for database optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies including relational and NoSQL
• Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all environments
• Guide and mentor database administrators and development teams
• Implement data modeling best practices and ensure alignment with data governance
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration
• Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra
• Proficiency in ER modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, scalability, and high availability
• Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL
• Good understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
