Database Administrator, Oracle EBS

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute EBS application and database tier patching cycles with minimal downtime.
• Lead project migrations, cloning, and environment refreshes to support development and production.
• Monitor and tune system performance to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Manage database and application security controls, including CPU/PSU patching and configuration standards.
• Perform OS-level forklift migrations and platform upgrades, such as Linux version upgrades or hardware refreshes.
• Collaborate with project teams, developers, and vendor technical support to resolve functionality issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of environments, patching history, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6-8 years of Oracle enterprise-level DBA experience.
• Hands-on administration of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1/R12.2) in multi-tier environments.
• Expertise in Oracle Database Multitenant administration (19c/12c) supporting EBS.
• Proven experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and EBS application tier technologies (WebLogic, Forms, etc.).
• Exceptional SQL and scripting capabilities.
• Ability to support planned or emergency after-hours maintenance and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional status.
• Oracle Database 19c R12.2 Oracle Applications System Administrator certification.
• 10 or more years of hands-on administration of Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Advanced scripting experience.
