Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and manage database configurations
• Write and optimize T-SQL queries
• Implement backup, restore, log shipping, and replication strategies
• Perform regular maintenance including patching, security updates, and indexing
• Monitor database performance, CPU usage, and disk I/O to resolve bottlenecks
• Develop and implement data security standards, encryption, and access controls
• Collaborate with developers to resolve database design or code issues
• Manage cloud-based database services using AWS RDS

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Proficiency in T-SQL and query optimization
• Experience with backup/recovery planning (RTO/RPO)
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Familiarity with AWS RDS for SQL Server
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Database Administration Certification in MS-SQL preferred
