Database Administrator I

Responsibilities

• Provide support for operational database services to the organization
• Own, track, and resolve database-related events, issues, and incidents
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure owners to resolve issues
• Support 24x7 operations in rotating shifts and resolve incidents within SLAs
• Review daily service reports including database backups, maintenance, and monitoring
• Investigate database alerts and escalations to develop strategic solutions for recurring problems

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration and support using Oracle versions 12c through 19c
• Knowledge of setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate
• Experience troubleshooting database integrity, performance, blocking, deadlocking, replication, and connectivity issues
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot resource constraints such as CPU, memory, I/O, and disk space
• Proficiency in Oracle Performance Tuning
• Strong documentation skills for creating knowledge transfer documents, run-books, and topology
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and participate in on-call production support rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MySQL or MS SQL
• Experience working with Cloud technologies
