Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the full life cycle of complex databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, and functions.
• Manage database interactions with mission-critical systems and ensure optimal access methods and performance.
• Create and maintain database clustering and monitor/troubleshoot database replications.
• Provide technical expertise in defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures.
• Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to integrate systems through database design.
• Evaluate and recommend database management products and services while ensuring quality assurance.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of overall professional work experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Proven experience supporting MS SQL Server 2016, 2019, or later versions in production environments.
• Proficiency in SQL programming (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions).
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Experience with database clustering and replication.
• US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting federal projects.
• Active Public Trust or Suitability adjudication.
