About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the full life cycle of complex databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, and functions.
- Manage database interactions with mission-critical systems and ensure optimal access methods and performance.
- Create and maintain database clustering and monitor/troubleshoot database replications.
- Provide technical expertise in defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures.
- Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to integrate systems through database design.
- Evaluate and recommend database management products and services while ensuring quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of overall professional work experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Proven experience supporting MS SQL Server 2016, 2019, or later versions in production environments.
- Proficiency in SQL programming (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions).
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Experience with database clustering and replication.
- US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting federal projects.
- Active Public Trust or Suitability adjudication.
