Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment tasks for database engines and packaged databases using tools like Terraform and Octopus.
• Provide L2 technical support for IT incidents and manage request queues via BMC Helix.
• Configure and deploy crucial elements of global database platforms.
• Cooperate with Project Managers, Architecture, and Security teams to align with priorities.
• Perform system checks to guarantee successful delivery and maintain process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and reporting process bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid scripting skills in T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including occasional night shifts, weekends, or on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing On-Premise and Cloud environments (AWS or Google Cloud).
• Experience with Octopus Deploy.
• Background working within a global or multinational company.
