Database Administrator (DBA)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support SQL Server databases across on-premises, Azure, and AWS environments
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform query optimization
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Manage database security, user access, and permissions to ensure compliance
• Support database migrations between on-premises, Azure, and AWS platforms
• Monitor storage, capacity planning, and overall system health
• Collaborate with development teams on database deployments and releases
• Maintain comprehensive database documentation and operational procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration (versions 2016, 2019, or 2022)
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure VM, and Azure Backup
• Experience managing AWS RDS, EC2, and AWS Backup services
• Proficiency in database backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
• Strong skills in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Solid understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages
• Understanding of database security and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Always On Availability Groups
• Relevant Azure or AWS certifications
• Exposure to DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes
