Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, build, and maintain databases based on business requirements
• Install and configure database environments and reporting services
• Apply service packages, security updates, and vendor enhancements
• Manage user permissions, including granting and revoking privileges
• Monitor server, instance, and database performance, including error logs and disk usage
• Develop and manage automated jobs for nightly backups and database integrity verification
• Perform data recovery using restored data files or transaction logs
• Implement security settings in accordance with CIS Benchmarks
• Maintain operations manuals, disaster recovery plans, and technical documentation
• Provide Level II Help Desk support for software products

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an acceptable STEM field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain facility credentials
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in both physical and virtual team environments
