Data Testing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Ensure the data quality, accuracy, reliability, and performance of data products and end-to-end data pipelines.
• Design and execute comprehensive data testing strategies in collaboration with Data Engineers, Product Owners, and BI Developers.
• Define automated and regression testing approaches for the delivery of data products.
• Test Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and DAX measures to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Work within Agile delivery frameworks using JIRA and Confluence for management and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data testing and data validation.
• Strong expertise in SQL, specifically analytical SQL within cloud data warehouses like Google BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and automated testing frameworks such as dbt tests.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Proven experience working as a Data Tester within the Financial Services domain.
• Experience with report testing, including Power BI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Airflow validation.
• Knowledge of Great Expectations or similar data quality tools.
• Experience with Grafana or Splunk for monitoring.
• Expertise in financial data reconciliation.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM.
