Data Strategist

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the broker data landscape, serving as the primary point of contact for brokers and research providers.
• Lead end-to-end discovery, evaluation, commercial negotiation, and onboarding of new broker datasets.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and investment teams to manage data partnerships.
• Support macro sourcing efforts by translating researcher needs into concrete data requirements.
• Perform in-depth assessments of datasets focusing on data integrity, coverage, and differentiation.
• Proactively identify and capitalize on emerging data opportunities to drive strategic advantages.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in a data-driven role within a hedge fund, asset manager, bank, or data provider.
• Strong understanding of global financial markets, specifically macro and multi-asset trading.
• Direct exposure to broker data and research products such as estimates, flow data, or macroeconomic data.
• Proven ability to manage external relationships and navigate commercial and licensing discussions.
• Hands-on experience with technical delivery mechanisms including APIs and SFTP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across investment and technology teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to own initiatives end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
