Data Steward

Responsibilities

• Define and apply data standards, quality rules, and definitions for key business domains within operations.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues such as duplicates, inconsistencies, and incompleteness.
• Establish continuous monitoring and control mechanisms for data quality.
• Maintain the business glossary, data dictionary, data lineage, and transformation rules.
• Support and train business users on data understanding, usage, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists, and analysts to ensure data relevance and consistency.
• Propose and implement improvements for data management processes and tools.
• Produce reports regarding data quality and the progress of governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+4/5) in IT, Data Management, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Steward, Data Analyst, or Data Consultant role.
• Strong proficiency in data governance concepts, quality management, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with relational database management systems (SQL skills are a plus).
• Fluency in French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with metadata management tools and data catalogs.
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse environments.
• Proficiency in English.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or healthcare sectors.
