Data Solution Architect, Vice President

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface for clients' Chief Data Architects and data teams during the Alpha adoption journey
• Lead end-to-end solutioning for the Alpha Data Platform, including pre-contract due diligence, target architecture documentation, and implementation
• Design and execute process engineering to manage data flows from multiple sources to client consumption layers
• Collaborate with internal application owners and external vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and MSCI to ensure seamless integration
• Identify product gaps and partner with Product Managers to propose tactical or interim data solutions
• Support defect resolution by collaborating with development, SaaS Ops, and Cloud Ops teams to identify root causes

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related technical field
• 15+ years of experience in data management, data architecture, or market data roles
• Hands-on expertise with ETL, Snowflake, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex relational data models (audit, time series, high-volume)
• Deep domain knowledge in Financial Services data (Security Master, Entity Master, Positions, Transactions, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with C-suite stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Experience with Databricks
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI applications in Financial Services data management
• Prior experience with State Street, Charles River Development (CRD), or Blackrock Aladdin
