Data Solution Architect, Managing Director

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical face of the Alpha Data Services organization for client Chief Data Architects and data teams
• Provide end-to-end solution design for Front-to-Back Alpha Data Platform solutions, including pre-contract due diligence and client presentations
• Document Target Data Solution Architecture and Future State Operating models for data services
• Collaborate with internal application owners and the Alpha Services Design Council to expand existing data solutions
• Design and execute process engineering to manage data flows from multiple sources to client consumption layers
• Partner with Product and Service Practice managers to identify and resolve product and data service gaps
• Coordinate with internal technical teams and external vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and MSCI to resolve complex data issues

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related financial services technical field
• 20 years of experience in data management, data architecture, or product and market data roles
• Proven experience in pre-sales or as a key contributor to deal pursuit teams for data solutions
• Expertise in designing and implementing relational data models for high-volume, complex datasets
• Extensive knowledge of Financial Services data domains, including Security Master, Entity Master, Positions, and Transactions
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Data Observability tools
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with C-suite executives

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud platforms, including Snowflake and Databricks
• Experience with the application of Machine Learning and AI in Financial Services data management
• Prior experience with State Street, Charles River Development (CRD), or Blackrock Aladdin
