Data Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, scalable data collection, storage, and analytics solutions within an agile team.
• Develop, test, and maintain critical data pipelines and architectures to support business objectives.
• Perform ETL processes and data analysis using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Update logical or physical data models based on evolving use cases.
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate data analysis, documentation, and quality verification.
• Support the review of controls to ensure the protection of enterprise data.

Requirements

• 2+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL skills (e.g., complex joins and aggregations).
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Proficiency in Spark and cluster computing frameworks.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS Data Services (e.g., Glue, S3, EMR, Athena, or Lambda).
• Expertise in at least two data serialization formats: Parquet, Iceberg, AVRO, or JSON-LD.
• DevOps experience including Linux scripting, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of AWS data security concepts such as IAM, KMS, and Lake Formation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing the full end-to-end data lifecycle.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy and security.
• Significant experience with statistical data analysis and identifying appropriate data patterns.
