Data Services Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SAP Data Services (BODS) jobs, workflows, and dataflows
• Build robust transformation logic for data cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and validation
• Support data migration and conversion activities for SAP S/4HANA implementations and releases
• Work with SLT team members to extract data from legacy SAP and non-SAP systems into S/4HANA and MDG staging areas
• Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure source-to-target accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, long-running jobs, and failures
• Implement data quality checks, error-handling mechanisms, and audit outputs
• Collaborate with MDG and data governance teams to align ETL logic with business rules
• Participate in cutover planning, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and post-go-live support
• Document ETL designs, mappings, and operational procedures

Requirements

• 4-10 years of experience in SAP Data Services (BODS)
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS), including proficiency in Dataflows, workflows, and transforms
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA data migration or conversion programs
• Proficiency with Datastores such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Solid SQL skills for data analysis and validation
• Understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multi-instance S/4HANA landscapes
• Prior experience in large-scale SAP transformation or Digital Core programs
