About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and validation of secure configurations and network integrations for data security tools.
- Manage the full incident lifecycle for data security events, including detection, investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, patching, and monitoring of DLP, classification, and IRM servers across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Perform advanced technical troubleshooting, rule tuning, and custom script creation to reduce false positives and improve detection fidelity.
- Collaborate with governance and legal teams to design and enforce data security policies and acceptable use frameworks.
- Drive transformation initiatives such as cloud enablement, SaaS adoption, and automation of security policies.
- Provide regular operational and executive reporting via KPI dashboards regarding incident coverage and policy enforcement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data security roles with hands-on expertise in DLP, Data Classification, and IRM solutions.
- Proven experience managing DLP products such as Forcepoint, Symantec, or McAfee.
- Strong server administration skills in Windows and Linux environments.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
- Solid understanding of security frameworks including CIS, NIST, and ISO27001.
- Experience with encryption, PKI, and integration with SIEM (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) or EDR tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
- Vendor-specific certifications in Forcepoint, Symantec, Boldon James, or Seclore.
- Microsoft 365 security or Azure/AWS specialized certifications.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
