Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML/RL models to optimize collection campaigns across digital, telecalling, and field channels
• Develop and maintain advanced analytical models and algorithms geared toward improving debt collection processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities for strategy improvements
• Own the end-to-end process of metric design, tracking, and reporting related to debt collection performance
• Enhance existing models and incorporate new data sources to continuously optimize approaches
• Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the data science and machine learning domain
• Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, and ensemble methods)
• Expertise in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, regression, and probability theory
• Experience building and deploying models on AWS cloud platforms
• Proficiency in developing backend microservices using Fast API and working knowledge of MLOps

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PySpark
• Knowledge of NLP techniques
• Experience in the financial sector or working with debt collection teams
• Expertise in model explainability techniques such as SHAP or LIME
