Data Scientist, VP

Responsibilities

• Design and build resilient data integration, mapping, and validation processes to standardize client and market data.
• Own production-grade ETL/ELT workflows, including batch and streaming pipelines with robust error handling.
• Partner with data science teams to design feature pipelines, curate datasets, and operationalize model scoring and monitoring via MLOps.
• Contribute to integration architecture patterns such as API, file, and message/stream (Kafka/Event Hubs).
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes while ensuring production reliability through monitoring and incident triage.
• Implement data quality, reconciliation, and auditability controls aligned with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and align technical plans with client deliverables.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering, or data science.
• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data pipelines specifically for financial data.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring and setting engineering standards.
• Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server/Oracle), Python, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools and integration patterns (API, Kafka, or Event Hubs).
• Strong understanding of dimensional/relational data modeling and data quality rules.
• Applied data science skills, including feature engineering and MLOps practices for model deployment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with Spark, Databricks, dbt, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of feature stores, model registries, and monitoring tools like MLflow or Feast.
• Exposure to reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or SSRS.
