Data Scientist Vice President

Responsibilities

• Build and execute data insights and analytics across client data sets to improve decision-making and product innovation.
• Manage the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from problem scoping and data wrangling to machine learning deployment and maintenance.
• Design and implement algorithms to solve complex problems using high-volume, high-dimensional datasets.
• Collaborate with product domain leads and engineers to deploy, test, and validate machine learning models in production.
• Perform ETL operations and use natural language processing to improve data access tools and chatbots.
• Communicate complex findings by "telling stories with data" to senior leaders, clients, and prospects.
• Lead and coach a small team as data science capabilities and demand mature within the region.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of Data Science experience specifically within an Asset Management environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Extensive experience with the full data science project lifecycle, including stakeholder engagement and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with classical machine learning tools and statistical approaches.
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
• Proven ability to present technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) applications.
• Demonstrated leadership or coaching experience in a technical environment.
• Ability to identify trends and patterns within large, complex datasets.
