Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Apply causal inference methodologies to measure the incremental impact of player experiences and commercial initiatives on Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
• Design, analyse, and interpret experiments, quasi-experiments, and observational studies
• Support the development of frameworks for measuring incremental CLV, uplift, and causal impact
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for causal measurement
• Analyse large-scale behavioural and transactional datasets to uncover drivers of player value
• Apply techniques such as propensity score matching, difference-in-differences, and causal forests
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to operationalise causal insights
• Translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Experience applying causal inference techniques in a commercial or research environment
• Strong understanding of causal inference methods and experimental design
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong foundation in statistics
• Experience working with large datasets
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Double Machine Learning, Causal Forests, and Uplift Models
• Experience evaluating incrementality using experimental data
• Knowledge of Bayesian methods for causal analysis
• Experience in gaming, e-commerce, or subscription-based products
• Experience with PySpark or distributed data processing tools
• Familiarity with MLOps or data pipelines
