Responsibilities

• Build and refine machine learning models to solve critical business problems like patient churn and operational volume
• Own the development of time-series forecasts to guide capacity planning and resource allocation
• Lead the design and analysis of A/B tests and causal inference studies
• Apply advanced statistical methods to complex datasets to uncover deep insights
• Work with Data Engineers to productionize models within the data infrastructure
• Translate complex statistical findings into actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong background in statistics, probability, and mathematics
• Proficiency in Python and the data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, NumPy)
• Hands-on experience with time-series analysis and forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, etc.)
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data wrangling in Snowflake
• Understanding of data privacy best practices regarding PHI and PII
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Applied Science, or a related field
• Experience deploying models using Docker, Airflow, or MLflow
• Experience working with healthcare or insurance claims data
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Experience designing matching algorithms for two-sided marketplaces
• Comfort with dbt models
