Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fraud detection models through data cleaning, feature engineering, and model tuning
• Perform deep data analysis and preprocessing to understand complex client datasets
• Collaborate with internal Product and Research teams as well as external stakeholders to meet business objectives
• Provide technical leadership by driving project execution and building scalable data pipelines and prototypes
• Contribute to product development by creating generalized enhancements and staying updated on fraud prevention trends
• Communicate complex technical findings and strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and the scientific stack (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn)
• Expertise in machine learning concepts and algorithms
• Experience with distributed computing tools such as PySpark
• Hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines using tools like Airflow and Trino
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle financial crime challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A quantitative degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
