Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Support the team in preparing regular reports on retail KPIs including sales, category performance, basket size, and customer metrics
• Run SQL queries to extract, validate, and organise data for reports and business analyses
• Assist in building and updating dashboards and visualisations in Power BI or Excel
• Help with cohort and customer segmentation reports to support campaign and retention planning
• Assist in data quality checks and flag discrepancies in retail data sources
• Support cross-functional teams with ad hoc data pulls and basic analytical requests
• Learn retail analytics frameworks such as promo analytics, pricing analysis, and merchandising KPIs
• Contribute to insight decks and presentations for business stakeholders

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a data, analytics, or business analyst role
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills including writing queries, using filters, and applying joins
• Good Excel skills with proficiency in pivot tables and formulas
• Exposure to BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
• B.Tech / B.Sc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to data handling

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Analytics
• Exposure to Python or PySpark for data manipulation
• Familiarity with retail, eCommerce, or FMCG domain concepts
• Basic awareness of Azure Databricks or cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with Jira or task management tools
