About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, implement, and operate the Machine Learning platform
- Distill abstract architecture into concrete design and influence implementation
- Research alternative solutions using custom or open-source technologies
- Implement processes and configure open-source components
- Work with ML DevOps and Support teams to implement DevOps best practices
- Ensure smooth operation via monitoring and alerting facilities
- Apply software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems for model building and serving
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred)
- 6+ years of software engineering experience building production software
- 3+ years of Python programming experience with strong Object-Oriented Design knowledge
- 2+ years of experience in cloud environments, preferably GCP
- 2+ years of experience building REST APIs
- 2+ years of experience with Kafka and its integration with Cloud Services
- Good working knowledge of Kubernetes and virtualized execution technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Big Query, Apache Beam, DataFlow, KubeFlow, Keras, TensorFlow, and Flask
