Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Partner with trading teams to perform post-trade analysis, linking PnL metrics with latency and infrastructure measurements
• Identify relationships between business metrics and changes in infrastructure technology
• Conduct research to model exchange performance and develop mathematical methodologies to quantify application impact
• Design innovative alert detection algorithms to proactively identify business opportunities or performance degradation
• Participate in the building of new datasets and the improvement of quantitative research frameworks

Requirements

• 5+ years of programming experience in Python with a strong focus on data science and analytics
• Strong background in statistics and data intuition
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently in a team environment
• Proven experience communicating complex analysis to both technical and business audiences, including senior leadership
• Must be based in Shanghai

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL
• Practical experience with machine learning techniques
• Understanding of network protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, and Ethernet
