Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate recommendation models across heterogeneous entities like advertisers, publishers, and consumers
• Evolve architecture toward graph-based approaches using semantic embeddings and graph neural networks
• Build pipelines for both batch and real-time recommendation serving
• Own the full ML lifecycle from data design and model development to productionization and monitoring
• Design offline evaluation and online A/B testing experiments to quantify model impact
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate goals into model outcomes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data science or applied ML with production model experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with large-scale data and distributed compute like Spark or Databricks
• Hands-on experience building recommendation or ranking systems
• Experience with embeddings and representation learning
• ML engineering capability to build and maintain production pipelines
• Strong experimentation and A/B testing skills
• Relentless use of AI coding agents in daily workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with graph-based ML (GNNs, knowledge graph embeddings)
• Experience with deep learning recommender architectures (two-tower, transformers)
• Familiarity with vector search and vector databases (FAISS, Milvus, etc.)
• Experience with real-time ML serving and feature stores
• Exposure to contextual bandits or reinforcement learning
• Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or PyTorch Geometric
• Familiarity with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery)
• Experience in adtech, martech, or e-commerce
