About the role
Responsibilities
- Architect and own a modern Databricks lakehouse platform for forecasting, anomaly detection, and BI/analytics.
- Design, build, and optimize batch and event-driven ELT/ETL pipelines using Spark and Delta-style patterns.
- Implement scalable time-series forecasting and advanced anomaly detection algorithms (e.g., Z-scores, PELT, XGBoost).
- Develop automated data quality, schema validation, and model drift monitoring systems.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements and plan technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or Machine Learning, specifically building production-grade pipelines in cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expert SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
- Strong Python proficiency for data processing, APIs, and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale distributed processing.
- Proven experience with Databricks (notebooks, jobs, clusters, Delta tables) and lakehouse architectures.
- Practical experience with time-series forecasting and anomaly detection algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP data engineering).
- Databricks professional certifications.
- Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, and observability for data/ML systems.
