About the role

Responsibilities

  • Architect and own a modern Databricks lakehouse platform for forecasting, anomaly detection, and BI/analytics.
  • Design, build, and optimize batch and event-driven ELT/ETL pipelines using Spark and Delta-style patterns.
  • Implement scalable time-series forecasting and advanced anomaly detection algorithms (e.g., Z-scores, PELT, XGBoost).
  • Develop automated data quality, schema validation, and model drift monitoring systems.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements and plan technical roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or Machine Learning, specifically building production-grade pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Expert SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
  • Strong Python proficiency for data processing, APIs, and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale distributed processing.
  • Proven experience with Databricks (notebooks, jobs, clusters, Delta tables) and lakehouse architectures.
  • Practical experience with time-series forecasting and anomaly detection algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP data engineering).
  • Databricks professional certifications.
  • Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, and observability for data/ML systems.
