Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets using statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Design and develop methods to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources.
• Develop programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets.
• Oversee data mining using modern tools and programming languages.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models to surface insights and drive business value.
• Partner with data engineering teams to build data pipelines and improve data asset quality.
• Create visualizations to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead project teams and provide guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 4-7 years of work experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming language certifications in SQL or Python.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
